Deadly Texas Floods

It has been a tragic month of July, 2025 in the state of Texas as authorities struggle to deal with a deadly flash flood that hit several parts of the state, claiming lives and damaging property worth millions. At least 120 people have been confirmed dead and many more missing. Kerr County alone has declared 150 people missing, according to reports from CNN on July 9th, 2025.

The government of the state of Texas has mobilized numerous teams to intervene with rescue efforts to mitigate losses. Many non-governmental organizations have also joined rescue efforts as many victims remain stranded and some traumatized from the disaster, considered the most devastating disaster known to the state of Texas in modern times.

The Association for Training and Rural Development (ATRUD), has mobilized resources to assist in relief efforts. A GoFundMe link has been set up to make it easier for sympathisers worldwide to donate cash so that victims can be properly assisted.

The President of ATRUD, N.E Tabort, a resident of Texas himself, has expressed sympathy for the victims and vowed to support relief efforts with every means available at ATRUD. He has called upon partners of ATRUD to contribute and remember that natural disasters like floods and earthquakes can occur in any country at any time and any where.

Donors who are not able to donate through the GoFundMe link can contact ATRUD at info@atrud.org and they will be directed to other ATRUD channels through which they can donate at their convenience.
